Shooting Events for bragging rights
Egg Shoot: At our most recent Egg Shoot the participants fired five rounds at five confetti-filled chicken eggs, within five minutes, at 245 yards.
Aspirin Shoot: At our most recent "Pill Popper" Aspirin Shoot the participants hit an aspirin at either 50 yards or greater (.22 rimfire), 75 yards or greater (.17 rimfire) or 100 yards or greater (any caliber). Target: one aspirin (~.405" in diameter) affixed to a target.
We're always open to new ideas for bringing the fun. Talk with any Board Member to put an idea out there!
Shooting Events for Qualification Awards
PRGC supports the NRA Marksmanship Qualification Program and runs the courses of fire in this program as often as interest warrants.
Social Events
Most of our social events were understandably suspended in the aftermath of the 2018 Camp Fire. They are, however, beginning to reappear. We held our Thanksgiving and Christmas parties again in 2021, and are looking forward to our fun annual picnic in a local park in early Fall.
